Youngsters in the before- and after-extended care and learning group in the Farmington Public School system conducted a class project to collect dog and cat food and treats, blankets, towels, pet toys and a gift certificate to a local pet store. All the items were donated to the Plainville Dog Pound. Gabby Paciotti, animal control officer, said she and the other control officers really appreciate the generosity of the children and items will be put to good use.
