Scouts of Brownie Troop 66805 and Cub Scout Den 49 gather following a tour of the Plainville Historical Society. The children learned about the canals, the history of the Plainville Historic Center at 49 Pierce St., which was the former town hall, and visited a classroom of the 1800s. Plainville Brownie Troop 66805 brought holiday cheer to Southington Care Center where they sang Christmas carols and distributed homemade cards to the residents. They also strolled the halls singing to all residents who were in their rooms. Troop leader Marlene Arini said it was a happy way for the girls to celebrate the holidays. Brownies from Troop 66805, Cub Scouts from Pack 49 and their families all got together, May 24 to clean a neighbor's yard.
