Gov. M. Jodi Rell announced June 23 that $2.25 million in state loans will help three Connecticut manufacturers, including a Plainville cabinet manufacturer, and a major aerospace and defense contractor.

Officials are optimistic that Plainville's sewer plant construction and renovation project will be in line for a state clean water funding grant that could get more than $4 million to help pay for it.
