Downtown Plainville was bustling Thursday night with the arrival of Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides, businesses open and music and storytelling at the library. The 17th annual Downtown Tree Lighting and Open House was held on a warm winter evening as compared to other years when the weather has been... well, wintery.

Robertson Airport open house

Hundreds of people tour Robertson Airport in Plainville on Saturday, March 21. The event was held to give the public the opportunity to learn more about the facility. A townwide referendum on whether the town should purchase the airport will be held March 31. Middle school announces half day
The Middle School of Plainville, 150 Northwest Drive, will have an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 17. This will be a four-hour day for students at the middle school due to the open house. Dismissal will be at 12:45 p.m. and lunches will be served.
