An all-day town-wide vote was held April 27 on the question, "Shall the budget for fiscal year 2010-2011 for $53,377,036 be adopted as proposed by the town council?"

Of the 10,377 eligible voters, 1,347 residents cast their votes.

The results were:
Yes: 412
No: 925

Airport referendum passes with comfortable margin

The town's proposal to purchase Robertson Airport passed in a referendum today, March 31 with 1,432 residents voting yes and 791 residents voting no. Of the 10,513 eligible voters, a total of 2,223 people voted, according to Town Clerk Carol Skultety.
