Modeling Swarovski crystal tiaras that will be given by J.P. Jewelers to three homecoming queens are, from left, to right, Charlene Pierce, manager of J.P. Jewelers, Mary Polumbo, owner, and Audrey Brolin, of J.P. Jewelers. Homecoming queens who will wear the tiaras are from Plainville High School, Farmington High School and Kingswood-Oxford. The business plans to continue the tradition annually and the queen will be able to keep the tiara. Palumbo started the idea when her daughter was homecoming queen at Kinsgswood-Oxford and the tiara was not keepsake quality. Joe Palombo will also be presenting a tiara to the Southington High School homecoming queen. J.P. Jewelers is located at 47 Whiting St.
