Parsons Buick in Plainville supports Haiti relief efforts

In light of the tragic earthquake event in Haiti and the resulting needs of so many of its people, Parsons Buick of Plainville found a way to help. From Jan. 22 through Feb. 14, Parsons donated to the Haitian relief efforts 5 percent of the first $200 of all service, repair and body shop orders that came in to the dealership. In addition, donation boxes were set up at various locations throughout the dealership, and 5 percent of all donations collected were matched by Parsons.
The Parsons Buick family, together with the generosity of its customers, were able to send a grand total of $2,742 to the people of Haiti through UNICEF’s Haitian Relief Fund. “Even in today’s tough economy, it’s important to realize how truly fortunate we are, and how important it is to still help others,” said Steve Parsons, president of Parsons Buick.
Parsons Buick is located at 151 East St., Plainville. In 2009, Parsons Buick celebrated 60 years of service to the community. For more information, call Steve Parsons at (860) 747-1693 for more information.
