On Thursday, Jan. 26, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., at the Plainville Public Library, 56 E. Main St., there will be a State of the Town discussion which is hosted by the Plainville Chamber of Commerce Economic Development/Legislative Committee. The Plainville public is encouraged to attend.

The agenda follows: welcome — Kathy Pugliese, Plainville Town Council chairwoman; State of the Town address — Robert E. Lee, town manager; downtown improvement project — John Bossi, director of technical services; economic development — Mark Devoe, director of planning and economic development; and a question and answer session.
