Winter Olympics 2010

I attended the 1972 Summer games in Munich. I got to see Frank Shorter win his gold. That's quite a feeling when they play the national anthem in that kind of a venue. It really is great. Fortunately, I was there before the tragedy with the Israeli athletes so my memories of those games are positive. I'm a supporter of the games and feel they bring people together in a good way.

I was at the 1980 Olympics held in Lake Placid. Saw bobsled (hard to spot it going by at 80+ mph) but it was exciting. Also by chance ended up at the men's hockey finals: U.S. vs. Finland resulting in the Gold Medal for the U.S. I never felt so patriotic in my life.
